About Me

I have over 20 years experience as an individual, youth and family therapist/counselor working in suburban, rural and inner city settings in Mpls/St. Paul and Western Wisconsin. I adopt the Adlerian Therapy philosophy of focusing on individual and family strengths. In addition to therapy, I am active in community awareness and education through committees, events, public speaking and writing. When appropriate, I team with other service providers involved in your life to increase well being of individual and family functioning.

Maintaining ethical standards are very important to me and my profession. As a seasoned professional, I am able to stay attuned to your needs no matter what the issue is. I also attend regular training to enhance my skills and stay on the cutting edge in my work.

Being a good therapist/counselor means taking care of myself. I am an active mother, wife, friend, and community member. I bike all over, snowboard, ski, play hockey (yes!), and catch really big fish in BWCA. Good food, living in the woods, obsessive flower gardening, bird meditation, creative writing, and witty humor are good for me. I am proud to have been born and raised in Duluth, MN, by pretty good parents
